If I didn't believe that rapid advances in artificial intelligence will continue, population collapse would easily be my biggest concern.
As it stands, AI is likely to advance fast enough to mitigate the growing labor shortage, preventing the collapse of countries like South Korea while sustaining a senile population.
Without advances in AI, the prospect for people like me, when we get too old to take care of ourselves, is either to be euthanized or to live in conditions worse than factory farming. There won't be enough human caregivers.
If "bigger brain size is robustly related to higher intelligence," should people be putting their hat sizes on their resumés?
