Art just turned out to be one of the easiest human professions to automate. But automation will eventually come for all human activities. Labor will become a free good like sunlight because the robots will build themselves. At that point, even cosmic engineering projects will become feasible due to exponentially self-replicating spacecrafts.
The question is just when we will reach that point. Given current progress, it might even happen within your lifetime.
